Home-based therapy, specifically in the context of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), is an approach where therapeutic interventions are delivered in the comfort of the client's home.
We offer in-home based therapy providing high quality services to children with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders to improve their communication skills while helping them to develop and increase their social skills, life skills, self-care, and much more in the comfort of the client's home.
Each child and each family is unique as their needs may differ from one to another. We pride ourselves in providing individualized treatment plans that meet the needs of each child and their families.
The home setting provides a naturalistic environment where children can learn new skills and behaviors in contexts they will use them (e.g., family routines, home activities)
Home-based ABA therapy allows therapists to focus on enhancing communication with family members and caregivers improving family dynamics and interactions. Parents can participate in the therapy learning techniques that they can continue to use at home which empowers them to support their child’s progress.
Therapists can work directly within the child's daily routines helping them learn how to apply new skills in familiar situations (e.g., mealtime, playtime, or bedtime)
Therapists can work on socialization skills within the family context and can introduce social routines that align with the child’s daily life which helps with peer interactions. Siblings can be included in therapy sessions helping them understand the therapy process and encouraging them to support their brother or sister in practicing new skills.
Home-based therapy offers more flexible scheduling compared to clinic-based options. It can also be easier to arrange sessions around the child’s school and family commitments.
